Martin Batchelar is a London based composer and arranger of music for film, television, theatre and album recordings.
He recently arranged and conducted orchestrations for The Who’s twelfth studio album, and has also arranged for Sir Cliff Richard, Alfie Boe, Sheridan Smith and Cassidy Janson (star of the West End’s Beautiful).
Martin recently arranged Rachel Fuller’s Animal Requiem for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, including a new string arrangement for the original recording of Sir Paul McCartney’s ‘Blackbird’. He is also working on Rachel’s latest album, The Seeker, featuring Pete Townshend and Sir Elton John.
Recent orchestrations include German feature film Narcissus und Goldmund and BBC documentary series Mexico and Wild West, and he has contributed to numerous computer game soundtracks including Disney Pixar’s Rush.
He is also the composer for chart-topping comedy podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno, with over 250 million downloads to date, two sell-out world tours and an HBO TV special.
Martin trained at the Royal College of Music in London.
